We are looking for a motivated and curious researcher to join the Ethnopharmacology and Zoopharmacognosy Junior Research Group (E&Z JRG). The position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of many different disciplines ranging from pharmacology to anthropology, contributing to ongoing projects on medicinal plants, traditional remedies, and bioactive compound discovery.
You will support field and/or lab-based work depending on your background and interests, and have the chance to contribute to publications, presentations, and collaborations with local and international partners.
Your Profile
- Background in biochemistry, pharmacognosy, microbiology, ethnopharmacology, or related fields
- Interest in traditional medicine, biodiversity, and sustainable drug discovery
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Good command of English and/or German
- Laboratory experience in natural products research or microbiological assays is a plus
